4th Avenue

This proposed development is a phased high rise residential mixed use project of approximately 774 units proposed within three towers between 5th and 6th Streets along the South edge of 4th Avenue SW. The towers are integrated with a continuous urban podium across the site with a high quality mix of spaces and uses for the residents and community. The West edge of the development is located immediately east of the McDougall Centre and McDougall Centre Parkade and associated public park spaces.

The edges of each urban façade along 4th Avenue, as well as 5th and 6th streets, are set back to provide for a wider, enhanced pedestrian realm and there are additional plaza spaces created at each street corner.

The design intent is to provide an urban streetscape/plaza aesthetic, with street trees along all three frontages and a building interface that is interactive and supportive of pedestrian nature of Calgary’s downtown, while acknowledging evolving forms of mobility.
